Founded in 1761, Borgogno is one of the oldest and most historic wineries in Barolo, deeply rooted in Italian winemaking tradition. From supplying Casa Savoia in the 1800s to serving royal banquets across Europe, Borgogno has become a symbol of timeless excellence. In 2008, the Farinetti family acquired the estate, bringing new energy and innovation while preserving its heritage. Andrea Farinetti, born in June 1990, began his journey at Borgogno as an intern in 2007 while still a student. Today, his vision continues to guide the winery, blending youthful creativity with centuries of craftsmanship. Under his leadership, Borgogno has embraced organic and sustainable practices, expanding its vineyards across Barolo, La Morra, and the Tortona hills — honoring tradition while shaping the future of Italian wine.
