It is no secret that we are one of Giacomo Fenocchio's biggest fans. 

Claudio is not only one of the greatest Piemontese wine makers today but he is a very charismatic and welcoming soul.

Five generations of Fenocchios have been producing wine from their land in Monforte d’Alba since 1894. Claudio is a master at crafting classic Baroli that express the true essence of the Nebbiolo grape. 

With prices that frankly do not come close to approximating the astronomical quality of the wines, it’s obvious that Fenocchio wines should be on all Barolo lovers radar.

And what better way to showcase Fenocchios wines than to pair them with Alba white truffles. Our menu will have the option of adding the prized "tartufi bianchi" to Donato's exquisite Piemontese cuisine.

In the late 1980s the Benanti family set out to revolutionize winemaking in the soils of Etna in Sicily and became leaders in the revitalization of this very special region. 

There are few wine making regions as exciting as those of the volcanic slopes of the very active volcano, Mount Etna. The whites have the complexity and minerality of Chablis, the reds...the power and grace of Burgundy.

We are honored to host Mr. Salvino Benanti for a Sicilian wine feast.

Cantina Produttori Valle Isarco is one of the most successful cooperatives in the world, making some of the most prestigious whites Italy has to offer.

In the northern, alpine region of Alto Adige, German and Italian mix not only in culture, but also grape varieties. 

The Isarco Valley is set where the Alps meet the Dolomites and here you will find some of Italy’s finest white wines and delicate reds.

At present, the Cantina Produttori Valle Isarco has 130 members from 11 municipalities.

In the 17 published editions of Gambero Rosso, this Tuscan estate has won the coveted Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award 17 times. And they did it by revealing the true essence of the Sangiovese grape and the Chianti Classico terroir. Fèlsina produces one of the finest ranges of age worthy and complex Chianti bottlings in all of Italy. In addition to their distinct bottlings of Chianti Classico, Fèlsina also produces one of Italy’s top Vino di Tavola’s called Fontalloro.

A very special evening with two winemakers that are anything but mainstream.

Tuesday, May 15th we will have the pleasure of hosting owner/winemakers Daniele Drius from Simon di Brazzan and Christoph Künzli from Le Piane respectively.

We will be pouring the fabulous and captivating Frulian whites from Simon de Brazzan. If you love skin contact whites you will be in for a treat.

We will also be pouring the expressive wines of Le Piane from the historical Boca appellation including a vertical dating back to 2004. 

Accompanying this fabulous lineup, Chefs Donato Scotti and Gianluca Guglielmi have crafted a thoughtful menu where Friuli meets Piemonte.

Isole e Olena
Perched atop a hillside in the heart of the Chianti region, Isole e Olena is where winemaker Paolo De Marchi makes some of Italy’s best known “Super Tuscan” wines. His wines are uniquely known for their freshness contrasted with intensity. In 1980, Paolo pioneered his flagship wine, Cepparello, which is made from 100% Sangiovese and has set the standard for the Sangiovese movement in Italy.

Sibling winemakers Danilo and Luca Ferraro make high-quality, organically farmed Prosecco at their small, family-fun vineyard in Treviso, Italy, between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in a little known subzone of the Prosecco DOCG-Asolo Superiore.

Donato Enoteca welcomes Jacopo Vagaggini, son of the legendary Paolo Vagaggini, aka Mr. Sangiovese. Jacopo will be showcasing his own family label, Azienda Agricola Amantis.

The Amantis estate is a family affair, Paolo Vagaggini the head of the family is one of  most important Sangiovese experts in the world as he has collaborated with wineries such as  Biondi Santi, Eredi Fuligni and Poggio Antico. Today his son Jacopo is the winemaker for this extraordinary estate which makes some of the most impressive Tuscan wines out there.

Join us in welcoming enologist Jacopo Vagaggini, winemaker of Azienda Agricola Amantis.

We'll be tasting Brunello, Brunello Riserva, Sangiovese and Montecucco along with others. This is a night not to be missed.

Donato is preparing a Tuscan feast to pair with Jacopo's incredible wines.
